Training Sneak Peek 📢

Have you ever taken civil rights training before?

Was it boring? 👀 This annual, mandatory training is one of our favorite LunchAssist PRO lessons. We put our heart and soul into it with an aim to educate and inspire the school nutrition community about our duty to honor and protect civil rights. For more resources on this topic, visit the Civil Rights page.

Yes! LunchAssist PRO is allowable under the Cafeteria Fund as a training and consulting service. LunchAssist PRO has also been approved by CDE as an allowable use of KIT Funds.

What procurement process should be followed?

For transactions under $50,000, LunchAssist training and consulting services may be classified as a micropurchase. If you will be spending more than $50,000 or would like to enter into a multi-year service agreement, then small purchase, formal purchase, or sole source procurement may be utilized.

By the end of SY 22-23, there will be over 50 training videos covering most topics in school nutrition. Is LunchAssist nationwide?

Yes! LunchAssist was started in California in 2016, but we work with schools nationwide. Since regulations vary from state to state, we base our guidance, training, and resources on USDA guidelines, and also share CDE-specific updates with customers in California.

Can I upgrade from a Single to a District-wide account?

Of course! Email sales@lunchassist.org to update your account to a district-wide one, which provides additional functionality, district-wide user logins, and unlocks the professional standards tracking tool!

How can I get one-on-one help with my program?

In addition to LunchAssist PRO training, tracking, and resources, our team offer one-on-one consulting with school districts. Speak with our sales team or check out our consulting page to learn more. Our team of registered dietitians, former school nutrition directors, and chefs are here to support!

Whether you’ve been in school nutrition 10 minutes or 10 years, the staff training videos and professional standards tracking is relevant for all school nutrition professionals.
